Paper napkins
Eating fast food or the ever-popular street food is not always spill-free. This is why simple paper napkins are always added to snacks in snack bars and fast food restaurants alongside to-go packaging. We recommend that you order these inexpensive yet high-quality napkins with every order. Available as single-layer embossed napkins with surface embossing or as two-layer, slightly higher quality cellulose napkins with embossed edges. Our napkin dispensers are also practical and send a signal to your customers: This is dining class!
Paper napkins are part of the snack
Whether in a napkin dispenser or directly in your hand - napkins are a natural part of fast food. Nevertheless, they must be included in the portion price. To keep the cost of napkins as low as possible, we offer particularly plain and inexpensive napkins and recommend ordering them with every product. The single-layer embossed napkins or double-layer cellulose napkins we offer are produced in Germany to the highest quality standards. The FASANA production plant is certified to ISO9001 for quality, ISO14001 for the environment, OHSAS18001 for safety and ISO22000 for hygiene. Our paper napkins are made from cellulose paper and are therefore environmentally friendly (as they are fully recyclable) and food-safe.

Just like cutlery, napkins have a long history. This is because they are part of our eating culture. Even among the ancient Romans, who are known for their sumptuous feasts, it was an integral part of the banquet. The napkin was used to wipe the liquid running down the cheeks when taking a hearty bite of a chicken leg or a grape panicle. A second napkin was placed on the dining table to protect the cover.
While in the Middle Ages clothes and tablecloths were commonly used to wipe dirty hands, the nobility reintroduced the napkin in the 16th century. These were made of linen, cotton or damask, as is still common in upscale homes today.
Today, multi-layer paper napkins made of cellulose can be found almost everywhere, even in upscale restaurants. Simple snack stands and inns rely on the small, pure white paper napkins that only have one layer. And even that pleases the guest! Because wiping grease off tablecloths or trousers is now really out of fashion!
